WoLF volunteer Julia Hing spoke with Amie Ichikawa, one of the founders of Women II Women, a support group for incarcerated women. Amie served five years in Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla and has first-hand knowledge of what goes on inside women’s prison. Along with her organization, Amie works with lawmakers, the media, and within the criminal justice system to bring awareness to the public of the plight of incarcerated women.
