Jones v. Trump

Challenge filed · Feb. 7, 2025. Appeal pending before United States Supreme Court - September 2025.
Orr v. Trump

On June 17, 2025, a federal judge expanded a preliminary injunction to cover all transgender, nonbinary, and intersex U.S. passport holders, pausing enforcement of the policy. The 1st District Court of Appeals denied the Administration’s request to stay the injunction. In September, the Administration appealed the case to the United States Supreme Court.

On March 27, 2025, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington issued a nationwide preliminary injunction blocking the implementation of the ban on people identifying as ‘transgender’ in the military.

Talbott v. Trump

On March 18, 2025, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued a preliminary injunction blocking the implementation of the transgender military ban. However, on May 6, 2025, the U.S. Supreme Court stayed the injunction, allowing the ban to be enforced while the case is appealed.
