New Nationwide Poll Confirms Strong Support for Women’s Sex-Based Rights

A new poll conducted by Spry Strategies on behalf of Women’s Liberation Front found that large majorities of likely 2026 voters know what a woman is, and think that lawmakers should prioritize women’s rights over policies that protect “gender identity” under the law - often by wide margins and across party lines.

Americans Overwhelmingly Support Sex-Based Rights

Despite years of messaging to the contrary, the public remains clear:

  • 68.5% of voters define a woman as “biologically born female.”

  • This includes nearly half of Democrats and two-thirds of Independents, in addition to overwhelming Republican support.

The poll confirms that women’s rights are a major concern - voters want women’s rights to be prioritized:

  • Nearly 87% of voters say women’s rights are important in upcoming elections.

  • When asked what lawmakers should prioritize, voters chose women’s rights over “trans rights” by nearly 10 to 1. This is one of the strongest findings in the survey - and one of the most politically significant.

Voters Oppose Housing Male Offenders in Women’s Prisons

Concerns about safety in women’s prisons are widely shared:

  • 60% of voters said that prison housing should be based on sex, rather than “gender identity”. This is 12 points higher than similar polling in 2020, showing that as the public becomes more aware of this issue, the more they oppose it.

  • 72% of voters oppose allowing male sex offenders and abusers into women’s facilities.

  • A striking 61.8% strongly oppose such placements. Even among Democrats, a majority opposes these policies - underscoring that this is not a partisan issue.

Broad Consensus on Children, Schools, and Parental Rights

On issues affecting children, the public is especially unified:

  • 70% agree with restricting medical interventions for minors until adulthood.

  • 72% oppose teaching young children to question or change their gender identity.

  • Nearly 72% oppose schools hiding gender transitions from parents. These findings show strong public support for safeguarding children and respecting parental authority.

Voters Do Not Approve of Commercial Sexual Exploitation

Voters support limits and regulation on commercial sexual exploitation:

  • 82% of voters support age verification laws, including 70% who strongly support.

  • 65% of voters strongly support banning AI “nudify-ing” apps that create nude images of real people.

National Support - Across Regions, Parties, and Age Groups

Importantly, these views are not limited to one region or political group:

  • Every major issue tested shows majority support in all four regions of the country.

  • Support spans Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.

  • Even among younger voters, majorities support key protections, though support increases with age.

In short, these are national, cross-demographic positions — not niche or partisan views.

What This Means

This poll confirms what WoLF has long argued: The public has not moved as far as institutions have.Across issue after issue — from defining womanhood, to protecting sports, to safeguarding children — Americans continue to support policies rooted in biological reality and common sense. The gap is not between the public and women’s rights. It is between the public and the institutions claiming to speak for them.

WoLF Will Continue the Fight!

WoLF is committed to ensuring that women’s voices — and women’s rights — are represented in law, policy, and public debate. This data makes one thing clear: the American people are with us.
