An Entry for WoLF’s Letters to Girls

Dear Fernanda,

The world will always change for every generation that enters this world.
The world is full of wonders and of difficulties for every girl that is born in her time. You are lucky though, having loving parents and being born in Norway, in a corner of the world with a lot of possibilities for women and girls.

You will learn about the women that have fought and still fight for possibilities and against oppression. In our family we have many feminists. But we cannot know what the biggest challenges in your time will be.

Live as if there are no limits and make friend with others whom you can trust. But be aware that we all need courage, and we need support.

So be a sister to your sisters and know that you can draw inspiration and strength from the fact that there is a long herstory of women who have fought for themselves and for you – and we will never give up!
