Letter From the Canadian Feminist Frontlines

“In all forms of extremism, women always seem to be the ones to lose.”

Dear WOLF,

Thank you for your newsletter from September 22, 2023 which expressed an air of optimism. I am also grateful for your acknowledgement that "Canada had been struggling perhaps the most of all the countries across the Anglosphere with Gender ID". As a Canadian feminist, I've fought this battle for so long now that I am war-weary. The gender identity movement has had a detrimental impact on my psychological health. And your letter today came as a key moment as I have been in a very dark place all day, crying and unable to see any light going forward. Seeing how the Canadian press and politicians has framed the #1MillionMarch4Children as a campaign based on hatred, prompting virtue-signalling across the country, has made me feel as though there is no place for me here. I sincerely hope that you're right, that the pendulum is starting to swing in the opposite direction, without swinging too far to the right, causing other harms towards women. Because in all forms of extremism, women always seem to be the ones to lose.

Thank you for the assurance that Canadian women are not alone in this fight.
