The Transgender Agenda is an Anti-Feminist Men's Privilege Movement
Regarding the transgender and gender identity agenda, and why I think it appeals to some young women:
The transgender agenda is promoted by these things:
The firm beliefs of and support for gender roles and gender norms. When someone doesn't fit into that stereotype of what a female or male should be in a patriarchal society, they can seek escape from their gender in order to fit in, instead of looking at the real problem: the sexist gender stereotypes which degrades females and limit both genders.
The trauma caused by childhood s*xual abuse which [leads some] individuals to hate their own bodies.
The fetishization of the other gender, mostly straight men fetishizing women and their idea of "femininity."
It's not an illness, because you cannot "feel" like female or male without making a conscience decision that genders are personalities, characters, hobbies, styles and feelings. That alone is sexism by choice.
It's a choice, and a political statement — a sexist political statement.
As a woman in patriarchy, I've been subject to abuse, I understand in a way the inherent shame that's been carried for having a woman's body, and the sense of supremacy men constantly displays for having dicks.
I don't sympathize enemies — dangerous enemies [who are] making women's lives more difficult, hurting women's opportunities — that's self-defeating.
I struggled with gender labels because, just like most women and girls, there comes a point in all of our lives, especially during youth, we realize that the image of femininity portrayed by society is not who we are, nor the roles we've been given are the ones we are inspired to play.
But gender is not the problem, it never was — sexism was.
The same sexism that stopped you from applying for math camp or sports team because you're been told that's not girly. The same sexism that dictates that the measure of success for a woman is to marry someone successful, that women's role in society is to serve, to cater, to stand behind, to look desirable for men, to please and fulfill men, to bow beneath men and to display weakness so that men can fulfill their egos. None of us identify with this, despite we've been told we ought to — tied to the identity which feminists are fighting against.
Society can see the ridiculousness of racist people who have claimed to change race, yet it turns a blind eye to the same mockery and humiliation toward women. [Because] people claim gender can be changed, it says [to me that] sexism remains the biggest, most overlooked, and widespread human rights issue.
(Thank you all for what you do at Women's Liberation Front, trust me when I say you are helping women and girls around the world.)
