“…Write them into almost everything”

My name is Julie and on December 22, 2025, I was invited to join WOLF.

I am so happy to be part of a sisterhood that supports biological women. Lierre asked me at the beginning of the interview, “Why do you want to join WOLF?” My answer was that I felt persecuted by transgender ideology. I have been a registered Democrat since 1973. I believed with my whole heart that Democrats supported the rights of biological women. That was before my brother who always voted Democrat came to my house to scold me for not supporting transgenders. He brought his girlfriend with him so she could give me the perspective of a biological woman who supported transgenders but he never let her talk. He mocked me and warned that I was at risk of being labeled a TERF. I told him that I didn’t care about name calling.

What I did care about was female athletes losing out on trophies and scholarships because of identity politics. I was horrified by government sanctioned rape in women’s prisons especially in California where Gavin Newsome and Scott Weiner aka Beavis and Butthead of Women’s rights rights belittled and destroyed women through misogynistic and masochistic legislation. I never won a single debate with my brother.

I admire Trish Hyman who called out Scott Weiner at a council meeting. I can not think on my feet like that. My mother once gave me the most beautiful left handed compliment. She said, “Julie, you probably could not talk anyone into anything but you could write them into almost everything.”

Before Wolf, I felt so alone but now I look forward to chatting with intelligent and empathetic women. I look forward to writing letters infused with humor (in the eighties I sold eight jokes to Joan Rivers) and truth. I want to join my new sisters in taking back the narrative and send out so many letters and emails that the eyes of indifferent politicians will be bombarded as much as Manuel Noriega’s ears were by American rock and roll. - Julie
