On May 31, 2022, the Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) submitted a brief in opposition to the state’s Motion to Dismiss our civil rights case opposing SB 132.

WoLF has just filed a friend-of-the-court brief (also known as an amicus brief) with the Supreme Court of Virginia, in a case where a public school French language teacher was fired after attempting to avoid the use of incorrect male pronouns for a female student who believes she is a boy.

Social media has been abuzz with the news that Bill Maher dedicated his enormously popular “New Rule” segment to highlighting some of the biggest absurdities in “gender identity” activism, with a particular focus on the Wild West-style of “affirmative medical care for trans kids.”

WoLF’s model legislation, the Women’s Bill of Rights, inspired congressional resolution introduced on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

ACLU files brief arguing the state cannot deny men’s transfer requests due to “convictions or disciplinary history.”

WoLF supports a bill passed in the Idaho House, which attempts to end the for-profit practice of childhood genital mutilation in Idaho.

On May 9, 2022, the ACLU filed a Motion to Intervene in WoLF’s California lawsuit challenging SB 132, which places men in women’s prisons if they self-identify as women.

Maryland’s Senate Bill 550 and its companion House Bill 453, the Maryland "Transgender, Nonbinary, and Intersex Inmates (Transgender Respect, Agency, and Dignity Act)" has died in committee, thanks in part to oral and written testimony submitted by WoLF Advisory Council member Jennifer Chavez, and Kacie Mills of the WoLF Board of Directors.

WoLF released a statement this week in support of Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2021.

WoLF Legal Director Lauren Adams was invited by Alaska Senator Shelley Hughes to give testimony on Alaska Senate Bill 140, The Even Playing Field Act, on April 22, 2022. She was also given the opportunity to answer questions about radical feminism, gender abolition and sex-based rights.

In honor of Women’s History Month and in response to the many ways that women’s rights have been eroded in the United States, WoLF worked collaboratively with Independent Women’s Voice to create and introduce a historic piece of model legislation for the United States: the Women’s Bill of Rights.

Last week, the Women's Liberation Front (WoLF) submitted oral and written testimony in support of a “Save Women’s Sports” bill in Delaware.

During the past two weeks, WoLF focused on two “Save Women’s Sports” bills in South Carolina: SC House Bill 4608 and SC Senate Bill 0531.

Dr. Mahri Irvine, WoLF’s Executive Director, submitted written testimony in support of TN HB 2835 and SB 2696, two bills that would enact the “Youth Health Protection Act.” These bills provide a mechanism to protect children from unnecessary, life-altering, and permanent medical interventions that are frequently promoted by gender ideology activists.

Lauren Adams, WoLF’s Legal Director, submitted written testimony in support of Maryland House Bill 1319. HB 1319 added “gender transition” of a spouse to the grounds for absolute divorce. This means that if someone’s spouse engages in “gender transition,” that person will have grounds for divorce. Read more on our website.

Last Tuesday, WoLF submitted testimony in opposition to Washington’s appropriations bills, Senate Bill 5693 and House Bill 1816. These bills included a section about establishing $150,000 for the creation of a task force to study the decriminalization of “sex work” in the state.

WoLF submitted testimony on Tuesday in support of a New Hampshire House Bill 1180 that allows public entities to use sex to determine placement and eligibility for female-only spaces and activities.

WoLF staff, volunteers, and other Washington state residents testify in opposition to House Bill (HB) 1956. If enacted, HB 1956 would risk disallowing disclosures of public records requests seeking information on male offenders housed in women's prisons.
