Take Action! Tell Maryland Legislature: Vote NO on HB453

Maryland House Bill 453 would place male offenders in Maryland prisons based on their “gender identity”. HB453 is currently in committee, awaiting a hearing on February 8th at 1pm.

We’ve seen how disastrous self-id policies have been for women in Washington and California. One man, convicted of raping and torturing women, was moved to a California women’s prison where he subsequently raped female inmates. In Washington state, at least one of the men transferred under the state’s “gender identity” policy sexually assaulted a female inmate upon arrival. WoLF has been tracking both these bills and the disastrous consequences incarcerated women face when these bills become law.

It’s imperative that we speak out now to protect incarcerated women in Maryland. Add your voice in the form below to tell the Maryland legislature that it is unacceptable to house men in women’s prisons!
