Victory: MD Prison Bill Dies in Committee
Maryland’s Senate Bill 550 and its companion House Bill 453, the Maryland "Transgender, Nonbinary, and Intersex Inmates (Transgender Respect, Agency, and Dignity Act)" has died in committee, thanks in part to oral and written testimony submitted by WoLF Advisory Council member Jennifer Chavez, and Kacie Mills of the WoLF Board of Directors.
WoLF Testifies in Support of Maryland Bill Adding “Gender Transition” As Grounds For Divorce
Lauren Adams, WoLF’s Legal Director, submitted written testimony in support of Maryland House Bill 1319. HB 1319 added “gender transition” of a spouse to the grounds for absolute divorce.
