Washington Examiner Quotes WoLF In Article On Chiles Case At SCOTUS.
WoLF is quoted in an article in the Washington Examiner on the upcoming Chiles case at the Supreme Court of the United States. The case will be heard October 7, 2025 at 9:45 AM EST. WoLF is hosting a Listening Session where we’ll listen to the arguments before the court, and then our expert legal team will discuss what we heard, implications, and offer their analysis. You can read more about the case and see our legal brief here.

In the article, the Examiner looks at WoLF’s argument regarding ‘transing away the gay’, as Colorado’s law prohibits licensed counselors from “seeking to change a minor’s sexual orientation or gender identity.” In practice, this means that if a teenage girl suddenly declares she is “really a boy,” her therapist must affirm that belief - and risks losing her license if she instead explores underlying causes like trauma, unwanted male attention and sexualization, sexual assault, autism, same-sex attraction, or social contagion.
The article says, “In the friend-of-the-court filing, WoLF raises concerns regarding the impact of restrictive counseling legislation, such as the one in Colorado, on gender dysphoric gay youth. WoLF warns that such laws will effectively “trans away the gay” by banning exploratory talk therapy that examines the underlying causes of bodily discomfort, rather than indulging in ideations.”
