PEER FUNDRAISING GUIDE: EMPOWERING Women to The Front

Help to make a difference! Peer-to-peer fundraising is an effective way to educate your community, raise charitable donations, and amplify the Women’s Liberation Front’s mission to restore, protect, and advance the rights of women and girls. In this quick guide, we’ll help you create your very own peer fundraising campaign inspired by our nonpartisan, radical feminist efforts.

1. Understanding The Power of Your Community

Peer fundraising isn’t just about raising funds, it’s about raising awareness of an issue like the erosion of sex in US law and policy. By leveraging your personal networks, relationships, and passion to preserve sex-based rights, you can enrich and expand radical feminist legal argument, legislative advocacy, and civic engagement education.

Dedicated women just like you helped to establish WoLF in 2014; collectively, small efforts can create a significant impact on the feminist front lines!

2. Getting Started ON YOUR Campaign

• Set Up Your Fundraising Page: Use Facebook or Instagram to easily raise funds, and thank your supporters for joining your journey to the feminist front lines. Alternatively, you can ask people to make a donation in your honor when they make a donation on WoLF’s donation page - write your draft in a document or notepad.

• Set a Goal: Define a clear, achievable fundraising goal. Be specific and realistic; people love to help you meet your target. A timeframe also adds urgency to your request.

• Tell Your Story: Share why our cause matters to you. Be authentic and heartfelt about why you care about protecting sex-based rights in law and policy. If you need help, look at our WoLF News or Letters from the Front blogs.

• Share Photos: Take photos of your journey to WoLF’s conference, or share photos that inform your community about the need for nonpartisan, feminist legal and legislative advocacy.

• Regular Updates: Keep your supporters informed about your progress and milestones. Did you learn something new, surprising, or inspiring? Let your community know, too!

• Reach Out to Friends and Family: Personalize your messages with heartfelt emails, texts, or social media posts. Explain your cause and ask for their support.

• Sustaining Momentum: Thanking your supporters is key to demonstrating your appreciation. You can also keep them updated on your journey or progress to continue the conversation on sex-based rights!
