On February 1, 2020, Meghan Murphy, Saba Malik, and Kara Dansky gave a critical analysis of gender identity and made powerful arguments for sex-based women’s rights. The event took place at the beautiful Seattle Central Library in downtown Seattle, Washington, despite protesters inside and outside the building.

Writer Meghan Murphy spoke on the philosophical and political problems in the claims made by proponents of gender identity. Feminist and environmentalist Saba Malik addressed the way gender identity advocates compare transphobia with racism and why this is both inaccurate and offensive. Saba also read a speech by indigenous feminist Cherry Smiley who could not be there in person. Lawyer Kara Dansky explained the significance of female erasure in the law and how feminists are fighting back. An engaging Q and A session moderated by writer and activist Lierre Keith followed.
