Lawmakers Who Signed Skrmetti Amicus Brief

Over 160 Representatives and Senators in Congress joined a disgusting Amicus Brief in the case of United States v. Skrmetti, where they wrote in support of performing procedures to attempt to imitate the opposite sex on children.

The brief states: "A federal bill criminalizing gender-affirming care not only ignores the science, but has essentially denied the existence of transgender people and gender dysphoria by arguing 'you cannot change your gender.'"

The brief also claims that bills to block this irreversible harm to children who are gender nonconforming (who will mostly grow up to be gay or lesbian), is rooted in "prejudice," citing "misinformation," "fear," and even "hatred" of "transgender" people.

These lawmakers completely ignore the very real, honest, and compassionate reasons that women, parents, and LGB people across the country (and across all party lines) oppose these surgeries.
