Donor & Supporter privacy policy
Reviewed & Approved by the WoLF Board of Directors on May 4, 2023
Due to the sensitive nature of its advocacy, the Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) commits itself to maintain and respect the privacy of its donors, supporters, and volunteers.
Types of Information Collected
Here are the types of supporter information that WoLF collects and maintains:
Contact information (e.g. name, email address, mailing address, etc.) and other voluntary information gathered from our petition-signing engine, our donation payment processor, and/or event registration platforms
Donation information: amounts donated, date of donation(s), method, and if a donation was given during a particular fundraising campaign
Information concerning hours for which you have volunteered
Your requests, feedback, and comments from direct correspondences and surveys
How Information is Used
WoLF uses your data to maintain records of donations, send acknowledgments, send newsletters, notices, and direct mail pieces, and for internal marketing and communications purposes. Donations over 2% of our entire budget must be reported on IRS Form 990, Schedule B. However, Schedule B is not required to be publicly disclosed and WoLF does not publish it.
Upon making a donation, you are automatically added to our donor database and mailing list unless requested otherwise (e.g. opted out, unsubscribed, etc.) Our third-party mailing service and donor database are contractually obligated to treat the lists with confidentiality and are prohibited from transferring this data elsewhere.
We do not list individuals’ names in any of our publications without express permission. We occasionally use your voluntarily written comments to post on our website or social media, excluding your personally identifiable information.
Credit card information is never retained once processed. In compliance with the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, WoLF’s donor database uses advanced encryption and an integrated payment processor with the highest level of security certification currently attainable.
If you create a personal profile on our grassroots support platform, that information is used to provide individualization and encourage supporter engagement.
LIMITED Sharing of Personal Information
We may share your information with authorized third-party service-providers that help us with specialized services, including billing, payment processing, grassroots campaigning, email deployment, business analytics, marketing, performance monitoring, hosting, and data processing. Security measures may not prevent all losses, and WoLF is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to security failures outside of the organization’s control.
Removing Your Name From Our Mailing Lists
Please contact the WoLF Development Team at development@womensliberationfront.org if you wish to be removed from our mailing list.
