Philosophy Lecturer Disinvited From Harvard for Feminist Views on Gender Identity

Harvard canceled Dr. Devin Buckley’s talk after discovering her involvement with a radical feminist organization

CAMBRIDGE, MA., April 21st, 2022 — Dr. Devin Buckley was scheduled to speak at Harvard University about her cutting-edge work on British Romanticism and philosophy. On April 18th, Dr. Buckley was told she could not speak at the event because of her board membership with "an organization that takes a public stance regarding trans people as dangerous and deceptive."

WoLF opposes this blatantly false characterization of its work and Harvard's flagrant disregard for free speech. Dr. Buckley's original talk did not have anything to do with her feminist beliefs; she was canceled simply because she holds feminist beliefs with which Harvard disagrees.

Dr. Buckley is a feminist philosopher and board member for Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF). She created the Encyclopedia of Bad Gender Arguments, which provides clear and helpful guidelines for responding to biased, nonsensical arguments about sex stereotypes.

Dr. Buckley said:

“If it is unacceptable for me to speak at Harvard on British poetry and philosophy because I am a feminist, then I invite Harvard to purge its libraries and museums of all those who hold views unacceptable to Harvard.”

In defiance of Harvard's censorship, WoLF is also hosting a webinar with Dr. Buckley to discuss her cancelation, free speech for women, and the ideological capture of academia. Details on attending the event can be found here.
