WoLF Case History

2021 - present

Chandler v. CDCR

On November 17, 2021, the Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) filed a lawsuit on behalf of four incarcerated women challenging a California law that allows men to "self-identify" as women or non-binary and be housed in women's facilities. WoLF is asking the court to overturn this law and declare it unconstitutional.

2022

Kiefel v. Ruff

Camille is suing the two counselors who signed off on her double mastectomy surgery to affirm a “non-binary gender identity.” She hopes to hold mental health professionals (and the clinics who employ them) accountable for misdiagnosing her and facilitating a medical procedure. WoLF is proud to be the initial financial sponsor of Camille’s groundbreaking lawsuit.

Camille is fighting for justice against medical malpractice.

Her lawsuit filing was made possible by WoLF donors. Thank you!

Does v. Wash. State Dept. of Corrections

The ACLU has filed a lawsuit to prevent the public from receiving public records from the Washington State Department of Corrections on the number of inmates in state custody who identify as transgender and the number of male inmates who are housed in women’s facilities.

Andrea Kelly, a private citizen, submitted the public records request on March 18, 2021. She was represented by WoLF in responding to the lawsuit.

2016

WoLF v. Us Dept. of Justice, et al.

In May of 2016, the Obama administration enacted a “Guidance Document” which mandated that every public school and university in the US must, unconditionally, admit men to women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, and other facilities. This guidance violated the rights of women protected by the 5th amendment, the 14th amendment, Title IX, and other regulations and policies.
