Crisis From The Skies

Ancients observed movements of Heavenly bodies, sun and planets heralded a change that came to be, the symbol of beauty. You see, the beginnings of women started as a spiritual sparkle from the stars. Bestowed with the miracle of birthing life, impenetrable strength and resilience behind delicate feminine instinct that can never be replaced or mistaken. Connecting to earth is our mission.

In 2020 The world celebrated 100 years of women’s suffrage. The protection of sex-based rights that have been oppressed by the objectives of men, with the control of our bodies in legislation. Through historically horrible happenings the word, Women—is ground-breaking. All threatened to be stolen through the crisis of gender identity. There is a heinous history of violence against women directly related to sex/gender roles and harmful stereotypes, the same stereotypes some men now use to justify, attempting to becoming a member of the opposite sex. Today, we hold the high honor of fighting the new face of patriarchy. Our ancestors have done it before as suffragettes, it’s our time now.

From the burning beginnings of being accused of witchcraft, to breast ironing--using hard and heated objects on prepubescent girls to pound or flatten their breast to reduce size. Acid throwing that stemmed from a son only preference, to reproductive coercion by means of bride kidnapping, forced marriage and pregnancy. The manifestation of un-equal power relations between men and women reveals its ugly head in 2021 as inclusivity. Its true nature is geared to exclude women from our own sports and offices, from the word even. The adoption of the “Equality Act” will ultimately erase Women as a specific sex class, “under constitutional dimensions” warned former Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It does not just end at women’s sports, we are in for the fight of our lives, once again! For the right to our own places, programs, shelters, restrooms, funding, groups and scholarships.

Do you remember your sweet sixteen? Did you lead the student council or were you the star on your High School track and Lacrosse team? Do you remember your first defeat? How it called forth a hunger that led to your first victory? Did every coach you’d ever meet, say “there’s a fire in you,” since starting athletics and studying the art of dance at age five like me? Winning awards, competitions and first place every single year, sparring in Karate Tournaments. These things gave us our first sense of sureness and kindled the beginning of our endurance. It taught you to fight, led you to believe. And now it’s all threatened to be extinguished.

94% of female executives played sports in school, and that is no coincidence. The bonding through gruesome training with your team had you singing “Ohhhhh we’re half way there! Ohhh Oh! We’re living on a prayer!” Running your heart out while you could hardly breathe. We discovered, then manipulated muscles we never knew we had, pushing ourselves to be the best of them all. It’s a special feeling every girl deserves, one that can only happen on a fair playing field.

Right now, girls and Women’s sports all over the World is threatened to be derailed. Under new guidelines of the profound unfairness of the “Equality Act”, our girls and Women are forced to share isolated places with boys and men. Where some girls who are used to being the best, girls who know they have true scholastic opportunity will be easily out beaten. No matter how remarkable you are, how you hard you train, and crunch every minute of every play. You are now a spectator on your own team. Unfortunately, this is a true story for Selina Soule, a High School athlete in Connecticut who has taken the courageous first steps to save other girls from being cheated in their own game. With support from Alliance Defending Freedom, Concerned Women for America and YOU! We can overcome this crisis from these uncertain skies.

I am Adia Lolita, some of my story is written in my name. I just discovered feminism and feminists just a few weeks ago, some of them really like me. I never thought of myself as one, I always thought I was too strong inside to be delicate...until I realized maybe that is what feminism truly is. Congratulation’s ladies, we are officially women making history!

Thank you for reading!
