WoLF Condemns Violence Against Women at WDI USA Portland Protest

Women gathered to speak about male violence. In response, men pepper sprayed and beat them.

WoLF stands in support of our partners and feminist sisters at WDI USA who were violently attacked by men at their event in Portland on Nov. 19th while peacefully exercising their right to free speech. Women, including WoLF founder Lierre Keith, had gathered to speak about male violence. In response, men pepper sprayed and beat them.

While WoLF was not involved in organizing this event, we support women’s First Amendment rights and condemn all male violence — especially attempts to silence, intimidate, threaten, and terrorize feminists. The City of Portland, which claims to be a progressive haven, utterly failed women repeatedly throughout these attacks.

Lierre Keith, WoLF founder and event attendee said:

“I was in the middle of a sentence about male violence when men attacked us with bottles, fireworks, pepper spray, and the usual fists. These masked men also assaulted innocent bystanders, including an elderly woman whom they knocked to the ground. This is what we can expect when we confront male power, which means it is very hard to do it. But I stood with some of the bravest women in the world on Sunday, and we will never be deterred from fighting for women and girls.”

Hear Lierre’s full harrowing story here:

The actions of these men demonstrate exactly what the protesters, and women across the world, have been saying for years — the “gender identity” movement is a front for male violence, and the men behind it are nothing but misogynists in woke clothing.

Women will not be silenced by these tactics. WoLF fights for the rights of all women and girls, and we stand in solidarity with those who have bravely stood against gender identity and male violence.
